Asteroid 25143 Itokawa

The rubble-pile asteroid Japan's Hayabusa probe sampled and returned from.

The actual model file, as it will be printed. Drag to turn it.

Itokawa is barely 500 metres long and held together by little more than its own weight — a pile of debris rather than a solid rock. Hayabusa reached it in 2005 and returned grains from its surface in 2010, the first asteroid sample ever brought back to Earth.

Published by NASA in their 3D Resources collection, which they state is free of copyright. Printed to order — scaled to about 80 mm on its longest side, and resizeable on the next page.
