Asteroid 433 Eros

The near-Earth asteroid a spacecraft landed on for the first time.

The actual model file, as it will be printed. Drag to turn it.

Eros is a 34-kilometre potato that crosses the orbit of Mars. NEAR Shoemaker orbited it through 2000 and then, at the end of the mission and with no landing gear, was set down gently on the surface anyway — the first time anything had touched an asteroid.

Published by NASA in their 3D Resources collection, which they state is free of copyright. Printed to order — scaled to about 80 mm on its longest side, and resizeable on the next page.
